April showers bring May flowers! And frigid temperatures that Floridians are just not ready for…Things happen on your wedding; shoes were forgot, someone ripped their pants, mom got in a fight with his mom, weather, etc. The biggest thing to remember is each other and to just enjoy your dang self! Emily and Michael made the most of their big day when it was forecast to snow but turned out to be an annoying rainy and windy day. I heard that family members were holding the tent down and the clay barn may have given her dress a new hue - but all of their pictures show them smiling!
This lovely duo had their wedding on a family ranch in North Carolina, the first weekend in April with an unexpected rain storm that had the possibility for snow! What?! I mean, I’m sure my flowers loved the coldness! They made the best of it with their rain boots and leather jackets though.
I used Juliet Garden Roses for her bouquet and flower crown, white anemones, peach hypericum, succulents, some peony and of course eucalyptus. The wholesaler I used in North Carolina, Jegg, and had the pleasure of talking to Plain Ole’ Jeff! He was a riot. Highly recommend their selection.
Photography courtesy of the amazing Nick and Lauren Photography that also traveled up North for the wedding! They are a super fun and colorful duo. Make sure to check them out!
One of my first big traveling weddings and I loved every minute of it! So please - let’s travel!
