Oldest home in Merritt Island - check. Oranges - check. Tropical - check. Gimme that Florida good-ness! I had been waiting for Cory and Brian’s November wedding for a minute since we were using all kinds of tropical, Florida elements. They had their wedding at the b-e-a-u-tiful Field Manor in Merritt Island - the town I pretty much grew up yet had never discovered this super magical hidden gem. Historic home and alllllll of the land with a view of the river? Yes please.
Incorporating the oranges was super fun for me - we used oranges for the aisle decorations and the bar area. Lemon leaf garland for the bar, sprinkled with oranges and halos. The reception was filled with vases of water with floating candles and driftwood the couple forged from diving the river! Seriously keeping it homey-vibe related. Which, if you’ve never lived on The Island - there’s 2 main streets with a small town relaxed vibe. It’s the kind of town you go into Walmart and see 3 or 4 people you know. Us Islanders are proud of our little town #bleedblackandgold (that’s the high school colors).
Cory got a big momma bouquet fully equipped with a king protea and some dendro orchids, peony, monstera leaves, seeded eucalyptus, and coral ranunculus.
We also decorated the cake table/cake that her bridesmaid made, in hanging green amaranthus, monstera leaves, spray roses, coral ranunculus and orchids!
Loved being able to do this for you Cory and Brian! Mazel tov!
